Q: What is MyNextBook?
A: MyNextBook is a fun online random book selector. You “spin the reel” and the site will randomly select a book for you. You can then click through to purchase it on Amazon via an affiliate link.

Q: Why should I play MyNextBook? What’s in it for me?

A: Our Game creates a fun and exciting way to resolve that age old question: “what should my next book be?” The randomly selected book is pulled from a specially curated list of approximately 15,000 books found on Amazon.com. These are unique and regularly updated books spread over 10 Genres, 5 Subgenres per Genre, and an additional 3 Metrics (bestsellers, new releases, and highly rated).

Q: Is MyNextBook free to use?
A: Yes. Spinning the reel and exploring books is completely free.

Q: How does MyNextBook make money?
A: We earn revenue through:

• Affiliate commissions when users click through and make purchases on Amazon (or other affiliate partners).
• Display advertising (e.g., from Google AdSense or AdThrive).
• When you show your love by buying us a coffee!

Accounts and Privacy

Q: Do I need an account to use the site?
A: No. Anyone can spin the reel without registering.

Q: What are the benefits of creating an account?
A: By registering an account (with an email, username, and password), you can:

• Log in from any device.
• View your previous spins (game history).

Q: How is my password stored?
A: Passwords are encrypted before being stored in our database. We never store passwords in plain text.

Q: What personal data do you collect?

Q: What counts as a “Game”?
A: Each spin of the reel counts as one game.

Q: Can I re-spin if I don’t like the result?
A: Yes. You can spin as many times as you like.

Q: Are the book selections truly random?
A: Yes. The books are randomly selected from our book cache of approximately 15,000 unique books, spread over 10 Genres, 5 Subgenres per Genre, and an additional 3 Metrics.

Q: My favorite Genre or Subgenre is missing. Can you add it for me?

A: Please email us your Genre and Subgenre suggestions at our contact email (see below) and we’ll see what the Book Gods allow us to do. We do aim to please and hope to be able to add your preferred Genre or Subgenre, if not right away, then in the near future.

Shopping and Affiliate Links

Q: Do I have to buy the book selected for me?
A: No. Clicking through is optional. You can spin again or simply exit.

Q: If I click through to Amazon, do prices change?
A: No. Prices are the same whether you buy through MyNextBook or directly from Amazon. We simply receive a small commission if you purchase.

Q: Are you affiliated with Amazon?
A: Yes. MyNextBook is a participant in the Amazon Associates Program.

Advertising

Q: Why am I seeing ads on the site?
A: Ads from trusted networks like Google AdSense or AdThrive help keep MyNextBook free to use.

Q: Do you use personalized advertising?

Mobile Access

Q: Is there a MyNextBook mobile app?
A: Not yet. MyNextBook is a web-based platform, but you can easily add it to your phone’s home screen for quick access.

How to Add MyNextBook to Your Mobile Phone

You can set up MyNextBook on your smartphone so it books and behaves like an app. Here’s how:

For iPhone (Safari Browser)

1. Open Safari on your iPhone.
2. Go to https://mynextbook.co.
3. Tap the Share button (square with an upward arrow).
4. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
5. Edit the name if you wish (e.g., “MyNextBook”).
6. Tap Add.

The MyNextBook icon will now appear on your home screen, just like an app.

For Android (Chrome Browser)

1. Open Chrome on your Android device.
2. Go to https://mynextbook.co.
3. Tap the Menu (three dots in the upper-right corner).
4. Select Add to Home screen or Install App.
5. Edit the name if you wish.
6. Tap Add or Install.

MyNextBook will now appear on your phone’s home screen and can be launched like an app.

A: Use the “Forgot Password” option on the login page to reset your password via email.
